TAMPA, FL – FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE, Southern Youth Arena
Football League (SYAFL) and the Florida Youth Spring Football League (FSYFL)
announce that they have approved a definitive agreement that would merge the
two youth spring football programs. This merger will provide both our customers
with an improved product and also enhance our offerings to our broader
communities.
It brings Florida’s largest and most competitive 8 on 8
Spring Football tournament, with over 230 teams, and the state’s finest Arena
Spring program together. “I am truly excited about joining Sandy and the FSYFL.
We have a long history and both have a passion for this game along with a
desire to provide an experience like no other to our participants. The SYAFL’s
vision has always been to reach young athletes and give them the opportunity to
play in exotic venues like any professional athlete. This merger also provides
us with immediate growth and creates exciting opportunities for athletes throughout
the state.” said James Lyle, SYAFL President.
The merger provides exclusive rights to all FSYFL
tournament teams to also participate in post season SYAFL Arena Bowl Games and
in turn immediately allowing all SYAFL teams to join the competitive Statewide
Tournament of the FSYFL. “I have always
loved the mission of the SYAFL” said FSYFL President, Sandy Beckett “and now
along with all the features and benefits FSYFL teams currently enjoy, they will
now have the additional chance to play in a shortened post season round robin Arena
bowl tournament culminating in a Championship game. James will also now bring his tremendous
sponsorship expertise to the FSYFL management team, as we grow the combined program
into the South Eastern Regional markets”.
The leagues have tentatively agreed to operate Arena Bowl’s
in the Tampa Bay, Orlando, Jacksonville and Miami markets. Additional details regarding the program will
be released soon. To learn more information about either program visit www.FSYFL.com or www.SYAFL.com.
